Global Gap Year and Bridge Year Fellowship

The Global Gap Year Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill is the first college-sponsored gap year program that allows students to design their own experience for a service year abroad. The Global Gap Year fellowship is a highly selective award given to a cohort of high school graduates who have been admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill as part of the University’s early action deadline.

The Bridge Year Fellowship is a highly selective award for sophomores at Carolina who take a service gap year abroad before their junior year.

What Makes this Opportunity Unique?

The Global Gap and Bridge Year Fellowships provide $8,000 stipends to each student for a transformative global experience.
