Housed in the Undergraduate Business Program (UBP), the business students who are on the Community, Equity and Inclusion Board work to improve the community felt by all students in the UBP.
Community, Equity, and Inclusion (CEI) Board
What Makes this Program Unique?
As a uniquely egalitarian undergraduate business organization, the CEI Board offers multiple entry-level leadership opportunities to eager business students as well as multiple avenues to gain promoted leadership positions within their time in the business school. These positions include paid and unpaid options, and students truly have the opportunity to tailor what they want their leadership experience to be like on the board with 20 different positions they can start in or switch over to as desired based on their personal interests and goals.
The CEI Board is the only student organization that is both housed under and funded solely by the undergraduate business program, AND is led and charged solely by students. We call it a "quasi-autonomous" organization for this reason that undergraduate business staff work directly with the Board, but this is mainly to support the Board and their initiatives that are solely pushed and curated by students. Clubs are independent student organizations that do not have paid student positions and work somewhat directly with staff depending on the clubs needs. The best student match for the CEI Board would be students passionate about building community; want to pursue leadership opportunities without the fear of competition; are eager to program and head large and/or small-scale events and projects that are tailored to making all students feel included.
